 Let's hope you stick to the 3 Step Program and never have to use this product. But, if you're not careful, you'll end up having to use a product like Banish. It's pretty universal, and can be used for any type of algae and on any pool surface. It's 3% chelated copper ingredients attack all kinds of algae. First you need to use Pool Magnet Plus or Scale Inhibitor to tie up any metals that are currently in the pool, vacuum leaves and debris and brush walls. Now shock with a normal shock, add 16 oz. Banish per 10,000 gallons and circulate 24 hours. You should be clear as a bell. For persistent algae, you may have to repeat the process.
