Burn Out Extreme is one of our most popular chlorine shocks.  It is calcium hypochlorite and 47% available chlorine.  There is no pre-dissolving necessary.  Just a quick shock once a week with 1 lb. per 10,000 gallons of pool water and your oxidizing for the week is done. Of course, if the pool is green or cloudy, you may want to double or triple the amount.  Do not swim until the chlorine level comes back down to 3 ppm.  It is an inexpensive way to take care of your pool.
